Yoruba Youths under the auspices of Agbarijo Egbe Odo Yoruba (Grand Council of Yoruba Youths) will pay their last respect at the funerals of notable Yoruba sons and daughter, Paul Adelabu, Mohammed Fawehinmi and Racheal Oniga.
Aare Apapo (President-General) of the group, Comrade Awa Bamiji, disclosed this in a statement, on Saturday.
He said: “After the crucial meetings with the bereaved families of the deceased across the South West states, every arrangement has been concluded by the leadership of the Grand Council of Yoruba Youths to be in attendance at the various locations where the bodies of the three prominent Nigerians would be laid to rest.
“During the week, members of the Grand Council of Yoruba Youths and vibrant Igbo Youths Group came together and paid a condolence visit to Chief Gani Fawehinmi’s house in Ikeja GRA. Both groups were led by Comrade Awa Bamiji and most travelled youth leader in Nigeria-the Nigerian Youth Ambassador to the United Nations and now traditional ruler in Imo State-Eze Goodluck Obi.
“On Friday, 20th August, 2021, the humble and Intelligent daughter of Chief (Mrs) Racheal Oniga, Fatimah, led other respected members of the famous family to receive the President -General, Grand Council of Yoruba Youths, Comrade Awa Bamiji, at the Magodo residence of her late mother.”
According to the statement, the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), will organise ‘A Night of Tributes’ for the late Oniga on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Blue Roof Top, LTV 8 Premises, Lateef Jakande Road, Agidingbi, Ikeja, in Lagos State, by 3pm.
Awa urged all Yoruba yourhs to attend the burial activities of the trio.
