Former Minister of Education and convener of the “Bring Back Our Girls” campaign, Oby Ezekwesili, has tasked Osun state Governor, Rauf Aregbesola on the salary crisis in his state.
Osun State is enmeshed in a crisis in which workers are on strike for being owed seven months salaries. The state Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) have been calling on wealthy Nigerians to donate food and relief materials to the workers who can no longer take care of themselves.
Aregbesola had last week said the situation was beyond him but in a tweet on Tuesday, Ezekwesili, a former Vice President of the World Bank, Africa division, said the governor must wake up to the challenge.
