The founder, Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti (ABUAD), Aare Afe Babalola (SAN), has hailed the achievements of Mr Adewale Raji as the Group Managing Director of Odu’a Investment Company Limited (OICL).
The legal luminary gave the commendation during a working visit by the outgoing GMD, Raji, and incoming GMD, Mr Abdulrahman Yinusa, to ABUAD, on Wednesday.
The Odu’a team was on a facility tour of the multi-system hospital complex, industrial park, ABUAD farm and the gas powered Independent Power Project of the university.
Aare Babalola commended Raji’s doggedness and forthrightness in shaping the company’s new governance structure, which he said has helped in ensuring continuity and stability of its businesses.
The ABUAD founder charged the incoming GMD to continue engaging with Raji after his retirement and ensure the company becomes more visible in all the South West states.
He further noted that Odu’a should be a big player in agriculture, manufacturing and education sectors, which he said were the main focus areas of the founding fathers of the company.
Responding, Raji thanked Babalola for being a pillar of support during his 10 years as Odu’a GMD. He said the advisory services from Babalola’s law firm has helped in laying solid foundation for future exponential growth of the company under the leadership of Yinusa.
In his remarks, Yinusa said that his priority is to build on what he met on ground.
“We look forward to an organisation that will be supporting government in different forms and doing things in a business way,” he added.
