The lawmaker representing Ekiti Central in the upper chamber of the National Assembly, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, has been announced has the Majority Leader of the 10th Senate.
Bamidele, who is a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is a second term senator.
The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, announced Bamidele as the Senate Leader at Tuesday’s plenary.
Akpabio also announced Senator Ali Ndume, representing Borno South Senatorial District as the Senate Chief Whip.
Senators Dave Umahi and Lola Ashiru, representing Ebonyi South and Kwara South Senatrorial Districts respectively were named Deputy Senate Leader and Deputy Chief Whip by Akpabio.
