Leicester City coach, Claudio Ranieri, has confirmed that Arsenal have triggered Jamie Vardy’s £20million release clause— with the Leicester striker expected to undergo a medical on Sunday.
The Gunners yesterday submitted a bid that allows the England man to speak to the London club over a proposed £120,000-a-week deal.
A medical is now expected on Sunday so that the move can be hurried through, allowing Vardy to concentrate on England duty ahead of their opening group game against Russia in Marseilles on Saturday June 11.
