The Federal Government has urged Nigerians who are stranded in Ukraine, following the invasion of the country by Russia, to find their way to the Romanian border.
The chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, disclosed this via Twitter handle, on Sunday.
She said the Nigerian Embassy in Romania has made arrangements to receive them.
“Indeed confirmed that Africans are having issues heading to Poland. Our Embassy in Romania has made arrangements to receive Nigerians through the Romanian border. Pls call +40747309174, 40786091964 for the consular officer and head of chancery respectively.”
Also, in a notice posted on via her Twitter handle, the Nigeria Embassy in Romania, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama is engaging high authorities and organisation for migration to assist.
The notice read: “The Nigerian Embassy in Romania wishes to inform Nigerians arriving from Ukraine that arrangement has been put in place to receive them at the Romanian entry points.

“Head of Chancery +40786091964.
“For those experiencing difficulties at the borders. Our Minister, His Excellency @GeoffreyOnyeama is currently engaging high authorities and the Organization for Migration to assist.”
