The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akoko South West Local Government Area of Ondo State has suspended 31 members of the party.
A letter signed by the chairman and a leader of the party in Akoko South West Local Government Area, Chief Sehinde Mishe and Mr Victor Olabimtan respectively, which was addressed to the state chairman of the party, Mr Ade Adetimehin, said that the decision to suspend the members was based on the report of a committee set up to look into the allegations levelled against them.
The letter did not state the offence committed by the affected members, but it was gathered that their suspension may not be unconnected with the anti-party roles they allegedly played in the last general elections.
