The Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) across the country have once again make a case for one of their own, urging President Bola Tinubu to consider Comrade Awa Bamiji for a ministerial appointment.
In a statement made available to newsmen on Friday, the CSOs said they had unanimously endorsed Awa for a ministerial position during the Yoruba National Day 2023 celebration, with the representative of the president in attendance.
“With the resignation of Mr Simon Lalong, it is very clear that a search for his replacement by Mr President has just begun,” the statement said.
It added that appointing Awa as a minister will be a reward for his three decades of loyalty to the president, and also appease majority of June 12 activists.
