Lawmaker representing Oyo South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, has once again demonstrated his commitment to community development by donating roofing sheets for the renovation of the razed stalls at Sango market in Ibadan.
This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Ibadan on Saturday his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas.
“The Senator’s proactive response to the needs of the market community underscores his dedication to empowering local entrepreneurs and fostering economic resilience in the region.
“His efforts to assist the traders at Sango market came as a timely intervention following a similar intervention at the razed stalls in the Bodija plank market, Ibadan some months back,” Abas said.
Alli said that the initiative aims to support the traders and vendors who were affected by the recent fire incident, providing them with essential resources to rebuild and restore their businesses.
The lawmaker said that the provision of these roofing sheets was a tangible step towards rebuilding the market infrastructure and revitalising the local economy.
“By extending support to businesses affected by the unfortunate incidents, the Senator exemplified his unwavering commitment to uplifting the livelihoods of market traders and promoting sustainable economic growth in the area.
“Senator Alli’s proactive engagement with the traders at Sango market also reinforced his role as a dedicated representative committed to the well-being and prosperity of his constituents,” the statement added.
Speaking, Mr. Azeez Mustapha, the Babaloja of Sango market, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Alli for his benevolent gesture in providing roofing sheets for the renovation of the market stalls.
Mustapha’s appreciation reflected the positive impact of the senator’s support on the market community and underscored the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing challenges faced by local businesses.
Meanwhile, the lawmaker has also delivered a generating set to power the borehole he sank recently at Ode-Oolo Community, in Ward 2, Ibadan North Local Government.
The gesture was well appreciated by the community, demonstrating Senator Alli’s commitment to supporting and uplifting constituents.
