The Chairman of THISDAY Newspaper and Arise Television, Nduka Obaigbena, has taunted Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, over his ongoing battle with the leadership of Peopls Democratic Party (PDP) and the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
Obaigbena mocked Wike while hosting guests who attended the funeral of his mother, Margaret Obaigbena, on Saturday, in Owa-Onyibu, Delta State.
In a video that surfaved online on Monday, the THISDAY chairman was hailing Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, whom he described as the country’s “future president.” He then mocked the Rivers State Government, saying, “Wike lule.”
“Lule” is a word in Yoruba which means “fallen or failed.”
All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, gave resonance to the word during his outburst in Ogun State, in the build up to the APC’s presidential primary.
“Chairman of PDP governors forum, Tambuwal! Presidential candidate, Tambuwal! Wike ‘lule’, Tambuwal! Wike ‘lule’, Tambuwal! Wike ‘lule’, Tambuwal! Future president, Tambuwal!,” Obaigbena said.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been engulfed in crisis since it its presidential primary election in May.
