No fewer than three persons, including a baby were trapped when a building collapsed in Ebute Metta area of Lagos State.
The Director, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Margaret Adeseye, disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen, on Friday.
Adeseye, however, said a woman was rescued alive from the rubble.
“The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service is currently attending to an emergency which was reported at 09:00 hours on 122, Herbert Macaulay Way, Lagos Bus Stop, Ebute Metta, Lagos, where a one-storey building with penthouse collapsed and two adults and a baby, all females are still trapped with search and rescue ongoing.
“However, an adult female has been rescued alive in stable condition as the state’s emergency response has been fully activated,” she said.
