Ahead of the July 16 governorship election in Osun State, the All Progressives Congress Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (APC CECPC) has announced a new date for the conduct of its primary in the state.
A statement issued on Thursday by the National Secretary, APC CECPC, John Akpanudoedehe. disclosed that the exercise will now hold on February 19.
He explained that the timetable is in accordance with the provisions of the Electoral Act 2010 (as amended) and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) guidelines.
The statement revealed that February 9 is the last day for submission of completed nomination forms and accompanying documents while screening of aspirants has been scheduled for Thursday, February 10, 2022.
Election Appeal would be conducted on Tuesday, February 22, 2022.
