Senator Godswill Akpabio has resigned as the Minority leader in the Senate. This comes 24 hours before he formally declare his defection from the PDP to the APC.
There are speculations that he is being positioned to be installed as Senate President if Senator Bukola Saraki is impeached. The suspicions heightened this morning when DSS operatives, acting on “orders from above” cordoned off the National Assembly and prevented some senators, journalists and National Assembly staff including the clerk of the senate from gaining entrance.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity given to me to serve as leader of the PDP caucus,my constituents and Nigerians as a whole.
