The Governing Council of Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo, has appointed Mrs. Olubunmi Siju’ Asunmo and Mr. Olawole Adebayo Ojetola as the institution’s pioneer Registrar and Bursar respectively.
The appointments, according to a statement issued by the varsity’s Media and Public Relations Officer, Wale Adeoye, will take effect from April 2, 2024.
“This is in accordance with the statutory provisions outlined in the THIRD SCHEDULE Statute No. 1 Section 13 (1-2) of the Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo’s enabling law and the acknowledgement of the exceptional performances of both Mrs. Olubunmi Siju’ Asunmo and Mr. Olawole Adebayo Ojetola during the interview processes for the positions of Registrar and Bursar respectively,” Adeoye said.
Asunmo was born on August 15, 1964. She attended Iwo Grammar School, Iwo, and holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Educational Management from the University of Ibadan.
She joined the service of the defunct Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo, on January 1, 1990 and has over 34 years cognate experience with notable achievements in the registry department of both the defunct Emmanuel Alayande College of Education and Emmanuel Alayande University of Education.
She is a Fellow, Institute of Public Administration of Nigeria (IPAN); Member, Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM); Fellow, Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA) and Fellow, Association of Nigerian Colleges of Education Professional Administrators (ANCOEPA).
Until her appointment, she was the Acting Registrar of the university.
Ojetola was born on June 20, 1967. He attended Lagelu Grammar School, Ibadan, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) with options in Finance from the University of Ibadan respectively.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA); an Associate of Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (ACIS); Certified Data Privacy Solution Engineer (CDPSE) and Certified Information System Auditor (CISA).
Before his appointment, Ojetola served as Bursar of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, between March 25, 2019 and March 24, 2024.
