The old students association of Islamic High School (IHSOSA), Orita Basorun, Ibadan, has inaugurated a new national executive that will pilot its affairs for the next two years.
The national executive were elected in December 2023.
The inauguration took place during the bi-annaual convention of the association held at the school’s premises, on Saturday.
The eight-man national executive include a lecturer at Lead City University, Ibadan, Dr. Bayonle Busari (National President); Lateef Adesina (Vice President) and Muftau Olaniyi Zubair (General Secretary).
Others are Omowumi Emmanuel (Assistant General Secretary), Olubisi Abiola Davies Ojo (Public Relations Officer), Ismaila Oyebayo Bello (Treasurer), Quadri Olorunseun Ishola (Financial Secretary) and Nafisat Yetunde Adejumo (Welfare Officer).
Speaking after the inauguration, the National President, Busari, said the task before the new executive is enormous but achievable.
He added that the new executive will make efforts to sustain the laudable developmental programmes embarked up by previous administrations.
Busari thanked those who worked tirelessly to ensure the success of the inauguration as well as stakeholders, elders, and leaders for the sustained interest in the affairs of their alma mater.
