Oyo State has recorded a new coronavirus case.
Governor Seyi Makinde made the disclosure on Friday evening via a post on Twitter.
The governor stated that with the development, the state now has six active coronavirus cases, adding that a total of 453 tests have been conducted at the ongoing COVID-19 drive-through/walk-through testing centre at Adamasingba Stadium.
“The COVID-19 confirmation test for one suspected case came back POSITIVE, today. This brings the number of active cases in Oyo State to six.
“A total of 453 tests have been conducted at the COVID-19 drive-through/walk-through testing centre at Adamasingba Stadium. Testing is still ongoing at the centre.
“Please, keep following the directives of the Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force. Wash your hands with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer, regularly. Also, continue to maintain social distancing. Gatherings in Oyo State are limited to a maximum of ten persons,” Makinde said.
