Ogun State House of Assembly majority leader, Mr. Adeyinka Mafe, has withdrawn his membership of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).
Mafe stated this in a letter addressed to the Speaker, Mr. Suraj Adekunbi and read at plenary.
“I had earlier written a letter to leave APC. I write to officially withdraw the letter and I wish to notify you that I remain a member of APC Next Level, ” he said.
Mafe, who represents Sagamu state constuituency I and three other members of the Assembly had on November 29, 2018, resigned their membership of APC and defected to the APM.
Others who defected with him then were the Chief Whip, Idowu Olowofuja who represents Abeokuta South II; Ganiyu Oyedeji who represents Ifo II and Tunde Sanusi who represents Obafemi/Owode.
A new majority leader had not been elected since Mafe’s defection to APM.
