The All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives primary election for Oluyole Federal Constituency of Oyo State didn’t hold as some of the aspirants kicked against the delegates list brought by the election committee.
The election, scheduled to hold on Friday at Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria(CRIN) came to an abrupt end as four out of the five aspirants alleged that the list of delegates has been doctored.
Newspeakonline reliably gathered that the four aspirants- Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye; Hon. Sumbo Olugbemi; Hon. Kehinde Olaosebikan and Hon. Adegboyega Rasheed- insisted that the election cannot proceed with the doctored delgates list, asking the committee to produce the authentic delegates list.
In a video sighed by Newspeakonline, Abass-Aleshinloye, who was in company of the three other aspirants, warned that imposition would not be allowed in the federal constituency.
He maintained that election will not hold until the authentic delegates list was provided by the committee.
It was gathered that the development prompted members of the election committee and Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) observers to leave the venue of the exercise.
