The Okanlomo of Ibadan land, Sen Adesoji Akanbi, has congratulated Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, on the occasion of his 8th anniversary on the throne of his forefathers.
In a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen on Thursday, Akanbi eulogised Oba Ogunwusi for making youth empowerment his focal point.
“In order to forestall youth restiveness, you made youth empowerment top priority upon your ascension to the throne. You made available thousands of hectares of land for Cocoa plantation where youths are gainfully employed.
“Your philanthropic activities in Ile Ife and beyond is highly commendable. Your wisdom is from Almighty God and long may the peace of God reign supreme in your land ,Yoruba land and in Nigeria.
“Kabiyesi, you were a rallying point and a big voice in Yoruba land; I cannot forget in a hurry how you stood by us when SWAGA criss-crossed the Yoruba land. You galvanised support for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who by the special grace of God is now the President of Nigeria. Again, I say thank you sir!
“My family and I, as well as my political family, pray that the Almighty God will bless you with a long life, sound health and immense prosperity.
