The lawmaker representing Oyo South Senatorial District, Senaor Kola Balogun, and Chairman, Nigerian Communications Commission, Professor Adeolu Akande, have expressed shock and sadness over the demise of Barr. (Mrs) Angela Folarin, the wife of the lawmaker representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, Senator Teslim Folarin.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Dapo Falade, Senator Balogun described Angela’s death as saddening given that Oyo State is yet to recover from the death of some of its prominent indigenes within the past one month.
“Again, this is another sad loss. We are yet to recover from the loss of some of our prominent indigenes in the state.
“My distinguished colleague, Senator Teslim Folarin, losing a dear one is a sad and painful experience. But I will like you to find solace in the maxim that God gives and takes.
“On behalf of my wife, Mrs Gbonjubola Kola-Balogun and the entire people of Oyo South Senatorial District, I hereby express heartfelt condolences over this sad loss.
“May God, in His infinite mercies, grant the deceased a peaceful rest and comfort you and your family over this irreparable loss,” Senator Balogun said.
Akande, in his condolence message described the late Mrs Folarin as a very supportive wife.
“It is with great sadness that I received the news of Mrs Angela Folarin. It has taken me sometime to come to term with the reality because no one would have thought such a very lively and cheerful woman could be snatched away by death.
“The death of Barr. Angela is a personal loss to me. I am deeply touched. I want to convey my heartfelt condolences to my brother, Sen. Folarin. I pray God comfort him and grant him the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” the NCC chairman said.
