The Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the Department of State Services (DSS) to release Ifeanyi Ubah, the Managing Director of Capital Oil and Gas Limited, who has been in custody since May 6.
The DSS had detained the businessman on the complaint by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) that he and his company allegedly diverted 84,891,730 litres of petrol valued at N11,144,586,314.40.
Ubah had, however, filed an ex parte application before Justice Mohammed Idris seeking an immediate release from the DSS detention.
