The United States (US) Mission in Nigeria on Tuesday issued a warning to US citizens in Nigeria to be vigilant at hotels frequented by international visitors including those located on waterfronts in the city during the Eid el-fitri celebrations.
It urged US citizens to take appropriate steps for their personal security.
The warning, which is posted on its website, suggested possible attacks by groups associated with terrorists.
Posted in the “US Citizen Services” section of the website, the mission advised US citizens to review their personal security plans, remain aware of their surroundings, including local events, and monitor local news stations for updates.
