An aspirant for the House of Representatives on the platform of the All Progressive Congress(APC) in Oyo State, Mr Ademola Alalade, has called on all political party leaders across the country to eschew enmity among themselves ahead of the 2019 elections.
Alalade stated this in Ibadan while answering questions about his ambition from journalists.
He said political differences should not hinder the progress of the country at a critical period when the country was looking for solutions to the numerous challenges facing it.
“What should be paramount in the minds of political leaders is how to work together cohesively under a national policy that will help resolve the various crisis that has bedevilled the country over the years”, he said.
According to him, lack of unity among party leaders impacts negatively on the electoral success of political parties in the country. He said acrimony high profile political party members was even more damaging that that among the back benchers.
Alalade urged all party leaders to ensure that the 2019 election in the country was conducted in a free and fair manner to shows. Nigeria’s democracy has come to stay.
