Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, wife of Oyo state governor, has donated a 32-seater Coaster bus to her Alma Mater, Bodija International School, Ibadan.
Speaking through her Special Assistant on Projects, Mrs Jumoke Ologbenla, Mrs Ajimobi said she was giving back to an institution that had given her so much in terms of a strong educational foundation and which has over the years been moulding the lives of several thousands of other pupils and setting them off on the right academic path.
According to Mrs. Ajimobi, founder of the ‘Educate A Rural Child Project’ , a project designed to improve the standard of education in the rural areas of Oyo State, money spent on any educational organisation is an investment in the lives of the beneficiaries that is guaranteed to yield infinite returns.
She urged other well-meaning Nigerians to look at ways they can add value not only to their former schools but to the education sector in general, stressing that education is the key to unlocking the vast potentials in any individual.
Responding on behalf of the school, the proprietress, Mrs. Aina Eso, expressed delight at the governor’s wife’s kind gesture, assuring that the vehicle would be put to judicious use. She also encouraged other philanthropic members of the society to emulate the First Lady by supporting the education sector.
