The Bruxelles Nord Station in Brussels, Belgium, was this afternoon evacuated following a bomb threat.
The train station, the signalling centre and the Portalis building were evacuated after an anonymous caller tipped off police at 12.20pm. (local time)
A station spokesman was quoted as saying “A message of an alleged bomb threat was sent to the police, all the people were evacuated from the station, the trains have stopped.
“This will continue until security services inspect the station, minimum an hour.”
Belgium remains on high alert following a bloody terror attack at Brussels airport in March, killing 16 people.
