The campaign office of President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja, which was opened for his campaign in 2019, has been donated to the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
A member of the House of Representatives and leader of the Tinubu Support Group, James Faleke, disclosed this on Thursday.
The office was donated to the APC flag bearer several days after Tinubu defeated Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi; Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and 12 other aspirants at the party’s convention.
Faleke, who was Tinubu’s agent at the APC convention, revealed that the campaign office, located in the Central Business District of Abuja, is well equipped with Information and Communication Technology, as well as a database, call centre among others.
The lawmaker stated that the donated office has now been converted to Tinubu Campaign Headquarters, while other existing outlets would become annexes.
The Buhari Campaign Office was the second space donated to Tinubu’s campaign.
Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, had earlier donated his presidential campaign office to the ruling party’s presidential candidate.
