Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose, has written a letter to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), requesting an appointment on October 16, 2018, a day after handing over to Governor-elect, Kayode Fayemi.
In the letter, Fayose said he would like to clarify some issues and answer some questions he could not answer due to the immunity he enjoyed as governor.
According to him, “several and serial actions” of the EFCC for some time now, including but not limited to freezing of his bank accounts and attempts to secure temporary forfeiture of his properties, were indications that the commission had questions for him concerning the state’s finances.
