Five ways to gain weight the healthy way

In a world where a slim body is becoming the standard for women’s beauty, the quest to lose weight is now a huge undertaking that puts so much pressure on those concerned.

Ironically, there are people who desperately want to gain some weight either because they have lost a lot during illness or because they look so thin that anorexia might describe them.

Generally, the trick to losing weight is to do the opposite of weight loss procedures, but the risk is that you may attract health issues owing to haphazard eating.

Below are five great ways to gain weight the healthy way:

Understandably, food is the first thing those who want to lose weight cut. But if you want to gain weight, you need to eat more but eat healthy. Consider milk, red meat, fruits, rice and eggs, if you really want to add weight. They all have plenty of calories and fats. Ditch skimmed milk for whole milk which contains more calories and obviously more fat. Add whole milk to oatmeal, cereals, custard and coffee. Drink one or two glasses as a snack and with a meal. As for red meat, the fattier, the better. A single egg contains over 70 calories, five grams of fat and six grams of protein. A cup of cooked rice on the other hand, has about 190 calories, 43 grams of carbohydratesbut little fat. Apples, mangoes, bananas and pineapple are amazing choices for health and weight.

2. Maintain a proper diet plan

Eat at least 6-7 times in a day. To gain weight, your typical daily meal would follow this pattern: Takee tea and milk before breakfast. Between 8am-9am you can take bread with peanut butter as main meal. After breakfast take tea or smoothie. For lunch you can take rice with vegetables and red meat. Take snacks afterwards. For dinner, take any healthy meal but avoid rice, and after dinner take a glass of milk.

3. Exercise

Exercise can help you gain weight by building your muscles and it may also stimulate your appetite. Adequate workouts produce excellent body figures. Exercises like strength training, Yoga and burst training are advisable.

4. Sleep

Get enough sleep if you want to add weight. Experts maintain that sleep is very essential for a person’s health and well being. A minimum of eight hours of sleep everyday will make you look fit and help the body to function properly.

5. Eliminate stress
