It was commendation galore for Engr. Dotun Sanusi, the Chief Executive Officer of the popular tourist destination— Ilaji Hotels and Sport Resorts, Akanran, as Oyo State Pepper Sellers Association commissioned their new secretariat.
The event, which took place at Mapo, the executive and leaders of the association said that Sanusi, who was elevated to the position of Jagun in the civil line of the Olubadan chieftaincy system last Friday, would continue to be adored for always coming to their aid.
Leaders of the association, who took turn to speak before the commissioning, thanked Sanusi, the Otun Apesinola of Ibadan, for always opening his door to the association.
Speaking, Sanusi who is the association’s grand patron, thanked members for the befitting edifice, saying that they have challenged other similar associations to wake up.
“I am happy to be here today, not only because I am the association’s grand patron. I am here because I am pleased to be associated with you. You have made me proud by this achievement. I want to assure of my utmost for everything you are doing.
”I think I should tell people here that the association and its members are very dear to me. During the last elections in the state, I asked them for something you know and they did. So this is one of the ways to repay them. I won’t stop at anything to put smiles on their faces,” he said.
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, who was represented by Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun, praised members of the association for their support and steadfastness. He urged them to be good ambassadors of the state, adding that the government will assist them.
He commended Sanusi for his philanthropic gesture, calling on other influential individuals in the state to follow suit.
