A former Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, Justice Niki Tobi, is dead.
Reports said he died last Thursday at the age of 75. He would have turned 76 on July 14.
His corpse is said to have been deposited at the morgue of the General Hospital, Garki, in Abuja.
The late jurist who joined the Supreme Court bench in 2002, retired on July 14, 2010, on attaining the mandatory retirement age of 70.
He was born in Esanma, Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State.
He was, earlier before his appointment as a jude, the Dean of Faculty of Law and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic Services), University of Maiduguri.
