Following the news making the rounds that Yoruba nation agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, aka Sunday Igboho, has been released from detention facility in Benin Republic and on his way to Germany, his lawyer, Chief Yomi Alliyu (SAN), has denied the reports.
In a short statement on Thursday, Alliyu urged the general public to disregard the news, saying,”it is not true.”
“Kindly discountenace any news about the release of Chief Sunday Adeyemo or that he is on his way to Germany. It is not true please. With the assistance of a WORLDWIDE renowned professor and Prof Akintoye and lawyers (Falola and self) we are negotiating for something more comfortable for him than prison to meet his health demand,” he said.
The lawyer advised everyone to remain calm and prayerful.
