Authorities in Liberia confirmed on Saturday that the country now has just five remaining cases of Ebola virus which had killed thousands since it broke out early last year.
This good news was shared by the country’s assistant health minister, Tolbert Nyensuwah.
He told AFP that “We have five confirmed Ebola cases in Liberia as of today”
He said three of the cases were in Monrovia, the country’s capital while the others were in the northwestern counties of Bomi and Grand Cape Mount.
He added:“It means that we are going down to zero if everything goes well, if other people don’t get sick in other places”
