Oyo State governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, says he plans to appoint Administrators for Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) in the state.
Speaking at a media chat to mark his 100 days in office on Thursday, Makinde explained that the local government elections his administration plans to conduct in the first quarter of 2020, will hold only for the 33 Local Government Areas(LGAs) which the Nigerian constitution recognises.
He said while the LGAs will be run by elected chairmen, the LCDAs will be run by administrators.
He also disclosed that members of the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission(OYSIEC) would be announced in the next 10 days.
