Princess Yemi Showunmi, the eldest daughter of the late Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Odulana Odugade has opened up on one of her late fathers unfulfilled dreams for Ibadanland.
The princess who spoke on Wednesday at the late monarch’s residence in Monatan, Ibadan, said her father’s biggest unfulfilled dream was the non creation of Ibadan State.
She said:
“My father had many dreams for Ibadanland but the only one he did not achieve was the creation of Ibadan state. He achieved his desired peace for Ibadan. He displayed so much love towards the building of a greater Ibadan. He is highly disciplined, very upright and God-fearing and his love for the city of Ibadan cannot be quantified.”
Prof Femi Lana, the first son of the late monarch said that his father was a philosopher king and a highly disciplined man.
Other children of the monarch, Prince Gbade Lana and Princess Folashade Bankole Odulana said they sincerely agree that he’s worthy of celebration adding that he left a lasting legacy.
