The Ethics Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has handed a one year ban to Super Eagles head coach Salisu Yusuf. He is also fined $5000.
By the ban, he is to stay away from all football activities.
The sanctions followed allegations of bribery levelled against him.
A BBC report had exposed the coach collecting money and guaranteeing the inclusion of certain players in his team.
A video showed him the head coach of the team that represented Nigeria at the Ghana WAFU 2017 Tournament, collecting $1000 from Tiger, who was there as an undercover players’ agent, and agreeing to use two of his players in the CHAN 2018 tournament.
It was revealed that deal was to make it possible for Tiger’s Players Agency to sell these players, out of which Yusuf would receive 15% of their sales.
