A former lawmaker representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Sen. Shehu Sani, on Monday said that some Nigerian leaders in the country are hiding the painful truth about the worsening state of security in the country from the President Muhammadu Buhari.
Sani, who was recently granted bail after spending four weeks in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for alleged extortion and bribery, said on his twitter handle that though such leaders have access to the president, they failed to tell him the truth about the security situation of the country.
“We shouldn’t all blame the President for the escalation of banditry and kidnappings because the leaders privileged to meet him were afraid of telling him the truth that hurts and preferred to say Ranka ya dade muna godiya da kokarin da kake yi,wallahi komai dai dai ne,ba matsala,” Sani said on Twitter.
