Barrister Ajeniyi Ajewole was on Friday sworn in as the President General of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII) alongside other elected members of the executive.
The swearing in ceremony which was held at Ibadan house, Oke Aremo at the Annual General Meeting of the socio-cultural organisation had in attendance prominent sons and daughters of Ibadan land from different clubs and walks of life.
The new President General, Ajewole, pledged to lead an all inclusive administration where the views, opinions and interests of all Ibadan Indigenes, home and abroad would be his priority.
Ajewole promised to cater to the needs of the old, young, men, women, rich, poor and all affiliate clubs of the CCII with everything God has blessed him with.
He appreciated the Olubadan of Ibadan land, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Mohood Olalekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II, Governor Seyi Makinde, prominent Ibadan sons and daughters, members of his campaign team, the immediate past executive members led by Prince Oluyemisi Adeaga and all Ibadan Indigenes for their overwhelming dedication to the development of Ibadan land.
Ajewole stated that with the quality of men and women in the new executive, he was confident of excellent performance and delivery in office.
