The Balogun of Ibadanland, the next in line to the throne to the Olubadan, High Chief Sulaimon Adegboyega Alao Omiyale, JP, has died at the age of 91. He died on Saturday evening at the University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan.
Before his demise, Chief Omiyale, was the next ranked High Chief to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Samuel Odulana
He was buried at the Ope Agbe Palace, Omiyale house, Oja’ba, Ibadan, on Sunday evening, according to Islamic rites conducted by the Chief Imam of Ibadan, Sheikh Abdul-Ganiyy Abubakri Agbotomokekere.
It was gathered that the late High Chief had been sick for a while.
Chief Omiyale became the Mogaji of the compound in 1967
Among the dignitaries who visited the family on Sunday are former governor of Oyo State, Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala and High Chief (Senator) Lekan Balogun.
