The governorship candidate of Accord in Oyo State, Chief Bayo Adelabu, has hinted at the possibility of a coalition between his party and other political parties in the 2023 general elections.
Adelabu who spoke on a radio programme in Ibadan over the weekend, however, dismised the possibility of dropping his ambition to return to the All Progressive Congress (APC), adding that he has the allegiance of chieftains of other political parties in the state supporting his ambition and those of other candidates of Accord in the coming election.
His said:“Accord is in the election to win overwhelmingly. Accord has been voting since 2011, it is a grassroots party.
“Accord can merge with APC or PDP if they are ready to support my candidature as Accord guber candidate along with our other candidates.
“Accord is the most superior party in this coming election in Oyo State. All our candidates are superior, people who are achievers in their private capacities with character and integrity.”
The Accord governorship candidate also called for the resignation of Governor Seyi Makinde over his admittance of failure.
“Any government that admits failure like Seyi Makinde’s adminstration should resign especially when it concerns insecurity, environmental sanition, education and infrastructural development.
“Refuse collection process is no more in place. We need more out of town dump sites in Oyo State. We can even convert waste to wealth. Refuse is now being converted to wealth in other states,” he said.
