The People’s Democratic Institute (PDI), a think-tank of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is organising a debate for contestants in the party’s national convention coming up on Saturday, December 9, 2017.
The debate is tagged the “PDP Pre-Convention Open Debate”
The PDI, saddled with the responsibility of bringing new ideas and charting a course for the progress of the PDP through the presentation of progressive ideas, said the debate is aimed at giving the contestants a platform to air their opinion and plans for the party’s progress.
Already, eight strong members of the party from the South have signified their interest in holding the party’s executive committee biggest position, the National Chairman.
Those gunning for the position of national chairman include former Ogun State Governor, Gbenga Daniel, highly respected party chieftain, Olabode George, former Oyo State Governor, Rasheed Ladoja, Chairman Daar Communications, Raymond Dokpesi, Oyo State party chieftain, Taoheed Adedoja, Tunde Adeniran, former party executive, Uche Secondus and former Lagos State Governorship aspirant, Jimi Agbaje.
The debate will be anchored by the former Minister of Information, Frank Nweke Jnr and ace broadcaster and the publisher of integrated media outfit, aledeh.com, Sulaiman Aledeh.
