Ahead of next Saturday’s gubernatorial poll, the governorship candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Oyo State, Adeshina Adewale, has said his party is not in alliance with any political party to dislodge Governor Seyi Makinde.
Speaking in Ibadan on Saturday, Adewale noted that those behind the alliance are not doing it for the progress of the state, but for their personal interest.
There were insinuations that opposition parties are considering forming alliance with All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state to dislodge Makinde.
But the APGA governorship candidate maintained that Makinde is doing well and deserves a second term to finish the good works he started.
He said APGA will never form alliance against the will of the good people of Oyo State.
“For the fact that APC won the Presidential and National Assembly elections in Oyo State does not mean that political parties should gather against Governor Seyi Makinde. Dislodging Governor Makinde will affect the good works he has started in the last few years of his administration.
“We all know what APC stands for, both at the state and national level. We know what people passed through during their administration in Ohio State. Makinde has done well, he has done great things, we are calling for another problem by chasing him away. I will never join them to vote cartels.
“Civil servants, pensioners, market men and women, artisans and traders should think ahead; voting APC is putting ourselves into another trouble for the next four years,” he said.
The APGA governorship candidate urged people of the state to come out en masse on March 11 and vote for Makinde.
