Tinubu’s meeting with opposition Reps-elect postponed

The group’s President-General, Com. Awa Bamiji, made the disclosure in a statement issued at the weekend.

“To whom much is given, much is expected. While we appreciate the overwhelming support that resulted in ensuring that the flag of All Progressives Congress (APC) is once again raised above the flags of other political parties in Nigeria, it is our great pleasure to formally inform you that most functioning and highly productive Civil Societies in Nigeria under the umbrella body this group are now set to start bringing to your individual doorsteps the various landmark achievements of the  President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, through our regular broadcast, titled: ‘TINUBU’s SCORE CARD.’

“The President-elect is a talent hunter, workaholic, human and capacity developer, political strategist of uncommon dimension, detribalised politician, thinker and doer, who cherishes good legacies as exemplified by rapid development across the length and breadth of Lagos State. Please, watchout for these interesting moments,” Awa said.

Awa, who went down memory lane on the group’s participation in politics, said quality fabrics are available for anyone interested in joining the celebration during the President-elect’s inauguration on May 29.

“We are introducing our high quality tie and dye fabric to the general public, which various Civil Societies and Youth Organisations will use to celebrate the President-elect’s inauguration on May 29, in Abuja. The fabric is  available for order at our National Secretariat in Abuja to all interested individuals across the world between Saturday April 1, 2023, and Tuesday May 25, 2023. Five yards of  Polished Batik is N6,000 while five yards of  Guinea Brocade goes for N15, 000. Delivery charges would be paid by the person placing order.  To place order, send message to the following numbers; 0803-506 -9916; 0808-681-0288,” he said.

Awa further said that Yoruba youth leaders are looking  forward to mingle with other activists from other regions such as Kaduna-based Alhaji Yerima Shettima, President-General, Arewa Youth Consultative Forum and  Rivers-based Alhaji Asari Dokubo, Leader, Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Front, among others.

Meanwhile, the group has felicitated with Muslim Ummah on the occasion of this year’s Ramadan.

According to Awa, “this is the crucial period to be closer to Almighty Allah and seek His face on every endeavour. We must not forget to pray for the peaceful co- existence of our country.”

The group also commiserated with Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State, immediate past governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, and the entire people of the state over the demise of  the immediate past deputy governor, Chief Bisi Egbeyemi.

Awa prayed that the Lord Almighty will grant his soul sweet repose.
