The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II will launch his Pet Project, Hopes Alive Initiative (HAI) later this
The Ooni disclosed this in a speech delivered on by his Chief Press Secretary, Comrade Moses Olafare at a press conference in Lagos in Monday.
The monarch expressed his surprise at the successes so far recorded by the yet to be launched organisation within a short period.
He said, “It is the wish of every dreamer to have his or her dream become a reality. l marvel at the trend of the immeasurable success so far recorded by my PET project; Hopes Alive Initiatives(HAI) within a very short period of time because I have an innate passion in me to give hope to the hopeless and turn the story of the under privileged positively. This is what the Hopes Alive Initiatives(HAI) is currently achieving under the administrative leadership of Temitope Adesegun”
Ooni thanked the media for their support and requested for more, saying: “I hereby give special thanks to the press, for I know the success of this Initiative so hugely recorded could not have been easily possible without your support. Please, let us be an Oliver Twist here today by asking for your continued support as we in the Hopes Alive Initiatives(HAI) are loaded with more programs coming up after our formal launch later in March this year”.
The Ooni, who is co-chairman of the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria concluded by giving his Royal blessings to the organisation and hoped that it will continue to put smiles on the faces of the needy
Speaking, the administrative leader of Hopes Alive Initiatives, Temitope Adesegun said that HAI is standing firm in its “vision to serve as a go to, and a resourceful brand advocate of NGOs all over the world with a view to alleviating socio-economic, cultural and environmental challenges in a bid to reduce the impact of poverty among the most vulnerable in the society”.
On the activities carried out by the organisation, Adesegun noted that it has launched an Advocacy Television Show “solely highlighting Non-Governmental Organizations, their activities, engagements and solutions proferred as a means of fostering their growth and development”.
She said further that, “HAI during the year visited the internally displaced persons camp (IDP) in Abuja to show love, care and compassion to the needy, supported the Kids charity football team for orphanages, HAI also visited Ikorodu and Lagos Island General Hospitals to provide necessary vital materials to babies born on Valentine’s Day”.
Adesegun stated that HAI has a long list of upcoming events in the nearest future and requested for partnership with the media.
