Organisers of reality show, Big Brother Naija have announced that the fourth season of the show will hold in Nigeria as against previous editions that held in South Africa.
The organisers, Multichoice Nigeria, announced this on Tuesday morning at a media briefing held at the George Hotel, Lagos.
Speaking on the reason the reality TV show will be hosted in Nigeria, the company’s General Manager, Sales and Marketing, Martin Mabutho said: “From a cost perspective, it is always good to share the Big Brother House in South Africa where all the African franchise of Big Brother can make use of the house. Now, we are at the vantage position of hosting the show in Nigeria and give the global standard for which the show is known for. The Big Brother House is currently under construction and will be ready before the kick off”.
The auditions will hold in eight different Nigerian cities – Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Warri, Ibadan, Benin, and Enugu. It holds February 1 and 2, 2019. Individuals eligible for auditions should be above 21-years-old.
Payporte who has been the sponsor in the last two year will give way for Bet9ja as the new headline sponsor for Big Brother Naija.
This is the second time the Nigerian version of the popular Big Brother Africa will be shot outside South Africa since it began in 2006.
