Former governor of Osun State, Chief Bisi Akande, has said the presidential aspirants and stakeholders from the South West are united in order to ensure that the zone produces the next president of the country in 2023.
Speaking at the end of the meeting between South West leaders and presidential aspirants from the zone, held at Lagos House, Marina, on Friday, Akande said there is unity of purpose among the aspirants from the zone.
He noted that everyone is free to contest, adding that everyone contesting must exhibit the ethos of omoluabi by shunning divisive rhetoric.
Akande said that everyone must queue behind the eventual winner of the primaries because the cohesion of South West must remain sacrosant.
“We are united for South West to poduce the president in 2023,” he said.
