President Muhammadu Buhari has set a date on which he would dissolve the current federal cabinet.
Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed disclosed on Thursday that the cabinet will be dissolved on May 22 after a valedictory Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on the day.
Mohammed made the revelation in Abuja on Thursday while speaking with journalists at the end a FEC meeting presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
Mohammed said the cabinet was still intact until May 22.
He said: ” The cabinet is still intact. We are going to have the valedictory service on 22nd of May. So you will still see more of my face.”
Presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina said earlier in the day that President Buhari would leave for the United Kingdom today “on a 10-day private visit”
