The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in Oyo state has suspended its strike, Newspeakonline has learnt.
The vice chairman of the NLC in the state, Mr. Titilayo Sodo, who confirmed the development on Fresh FM Ibadan, said that the union suspended the strike after it reached an agreement with the state government.
He listed some of the conditions under which the strike was called off as government’s acceptance to dothe following:
- Pay two months salaries starting from today, Tuesday July 26, 2016.
- Ask banks to give workers three months moratorium on loans to enable them have money to take care of basic needs
- Withdrawal of all court cases against labour in the state
- Letters of promotion to be issued especially to those in arears
