In spite of a second court order to the DSS asking it to allow former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd), to travel abroad for medical treatment, the security agency has refused to vacate his Abuja residence.
Justice Adeniyi Ademola at the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja last Friday directed the DSS to end the siege to the former NSA’s home, while chiding the service for its flagrant violation of the first ruling by the court.
But on Sunday, more than 48 hours after the order, the personnel of the DSS refused to quit Dasuki’s residence, still keeping him under house arrest.
The Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Alhaji Abubakar Malami (SAN), it has however been learnt, will to appear at the court today to explain the siege to the residence of the ex-NSA and why the two court orders were been disregarded.
