No fewer than nine students, including four final year students, from various departments at the University of Ilorin, Kwara State, have been expelled for engaging in examination malpractices.
This was contained in the university’s bulletin (Unilorin Bulletin) released on Monday.
According to the bulletin, the students’ expulsion follows the recommendations of the Students’ Disciplinary Committee at its 219th meeting, which was approved by the vice chancellor, Prof Wahab Egbewole
Those affected include Lateef Lukman Olayemi, 500 Level student in the Department of Agriculture/Aquaculture and Fisheries; Kuranga Abdulmuiz Olalekan, 500 Level student of Agriculture/Agricultural Extension and Rural Development; Adebisi Janet Bosede, 100 Level student of Arts/Linguistics and Nigerian Languages; Ogundijo Abdulmalik Akinkunmi, 500 Level CIS/Library and Information Science and Ashekun Oladiji Quadri, 400 Level CIS/ Telecommunications Science.
Others are Eqwudah Lucky Ojonumba, 300 Level Education/Adult and Primary Education Studies; Musa Mohammed Asuku, 500 Level Student of Engineering and Technology/Electrical and Electronic Engineering; Ahmed Saddam Opeyemi, 500 Level Engineering and Technology/Materials and Metallurgical Engineering and Ayinla Jamiu Olaitan, a 400 Level Life Science/Zoology student.
