Lawmaker representing Ibadan South East/North East at the House of Representatives, Hon. Adedapo Lam-Adesina, has asked Nigerians to forgive his colleagues in the green chamber over Wednesday’s rowdy session caused by the budget padding row between Speaker Yakubu Dogara and ex-chairman of Appropriations committee, Abdulmumin Jubrin.
In a statement issued on Thursday via his Facebook account, Hon. Adesina described the crisis as an act of insensitivity to the plight of Nigerians in te face of the current economic hardship “when living a basic life has become challenging for our people”.
He said: “I Adedapo Lam Adesina member representing the very good people of Ibadan South East/North East at the House of Representatives as usual will not join the bandwagon of some people who have become insensitive to the yearnings of our people but will on behalf of MYSELF tender an unreserved apology to the people for all the show and disrespect to the people of this great nation on the recent unpalatable happenings in the House of Representatives especially the incidence of yesterday 21st of September,2016”.
He also asked Nigerians to keep praying for President Muhammadu Buhari.
“While also using this opportunity to appeal to the good People of this great nation to keep Mr President in our prayers and hoping that things will definitely get better in the next few months with our support and prayers” he added.
